Who We Are

Michelle Passarelli Krage

Founder

Michelle Passarelli Krage is the founder of Mio Evento.  She is a seasoned and innovative leader known for orchestrating large-scale festivals, high-impact galas, and major corporate conferences. But her true passion is wedding planning which is the primary focus of Mio Evento.

Over the course of her career Michelle has produced more than 1,000 events with more than one million attendees.  Along the way she has learned how to leverage technology, negotiate the best deals, unearth hidden venues, vendors and approaches, and solve problems in-the-moment.  Her clients call her an event ‘art director,’ an ‘executional wizard’ and a ‘therapist.’

Michelle’s creativity is her hallmark, but she also has strong strategic thinking skills and operational experience that allow her to deliver memorable events on-time and on-budget.

Her passion for art, design and fashion give her a keen eye for detail and aesthetics. Michelle can help brides with everything from choosing the right gown to their hairstyle to the flowers and place settings. Michelle prides herself on the ‘wow’ factor of her weddings whether they are in the countryside of Illinois, the shores of Lake Como in Italy, or the heart of downtown Chicago.  Michelle is proud of her Italian heritage and her three daughters, Mackenzie, Devyn, and Dylan.

“There is nothing cookie-cutter about Michelle’s approach - she knows the most unique venues, approaches to food and beverages, music, decor, flowers, and lighting. Her ideas are endless.”

Jessica Christie

After producing large scale festivals and events in Chicago, a move to New York led her to be the Event Director at a Private Members club in Tribeca. She conceptualized, planned and executed events for VIPs in the creative space and assisted in private experiences during highly coveted events such as New York Fashion Week, Tribeca Film Festival, & the Grammys.

She’s had the pleasure of working with Michelin Star Chefs and bringing unique culinary experiences to New York. As Director of Events at a New York Hospitality group, she furthered her love for exceptional food and beverage by creating custom menus for highly curated events.

As she says, “her love for love” led her back to Chicago to focus on Wedding Planning and growing her family in the city she’s always called home. A meticulous planner and logistical master, Jessica ensures every piece of the puzzle comes together seamlessly. She currently resides in Winnetka with her husband, Scott, and three children, Palmer, William & Sloane.

“It’s my clients’ job to have the best day of their lives, everything else - just leave to me!”
